I just made my website with homestead. I’m telling all my friends about how much fun it was to make it and and they are really impressed with how it looks. It didn’t take much work though. Just a few hours with the website builder and I was done. Now I want to make another one!

homestead is just what i had in mind for a website builder. i was able to create my site the way i wanted to all by myself. i’m not a computer person at all but still was able to make a good looking site in just a couple of hours!

As a potential new customer looking to change her website, I called the Homestead 800# to ask a question about their product. I was on hold for 20 minutes and no customer service representative ever picked up. If there level of customer service is that bad, I definitely will not be using their product.

I started out with a great rate and without notice the price went up to $21.00 and then again to $23. No explanation just a price increase. Then to boot I can’t get an answer to an issue I’m having!

This is my first attempt to build a website. I have tried in vain use Homestead, no luck!
The video tutorials will not play, therefor I have had no instruction. Trying to figure it out on muy own by just clicking on buttons led me nowhere. Very frustatiing. Customer service was responsive. They gave me a related website with video tutorials, but it was not clear enough for me to make it work.
The advertising makes it look simple.

Buyer beware! Homestead had a great tool, very helpful, the site builder was the best in the market. I build websites for small companies and used their tool so the customer can take it over. Built more than 100 sites with Great results. Then came along Intuit. Servers keep going down, changed to new website design tool that is for a first grader with very limited ability to do anything. Does not work well. They stopped allowing new customers to use the old site builder tool. Virtually zero support to the hundreds of websites currently using site builder tool. They advised that they will not be doing any upgrades for this tool!!!!
I have been so frustrated that I called the president of Intuits office myself. His assistant took all of my concerns and said she would have someone call me back. Nothing. I called again and left the same information. She promised to give this info to the president – that has been 4 months ago. Remember I am a customer who has done business with them now for 8 years! I have given them thousands of dollars in hosting customers and I can’t even get a call back. When I speak to the managers at Homestead, they simply say they are sorry and they will pass on my frustrations.
I give Homestead by intuit big fat zero!
I have been meeting with all of my clients who currently use the old Site Builder tool to advise them that we need to look for another tool. I am afraid that Intuit will just shut the old Site Builder down and all their sites will go down too. If they don’t want to support it – they should sell it off to a company who does!
Don’t put your ecommerce store with these people. You will be very sorry if you do. Will not work.
